Today’s featured artist is Sophie Tarry with her submission titled “Lucky Hands”
My name is Sophie. Even though I have PCD, and it also causes me to have hearing loss, I try to make my day joyful. Sometimes I don't like that I have to do all the medications and breathing treatments, but I try not to get annoyed by it too much. I also have great friends who don't mind when I do my vest, and they don't ask questions. Luckily, I have a soulmate who helps me through it; it's my twin brother who also has PCD. I am still able to do things that I love every day, such as riding my bike, running and being active! So, don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't do something because you have a weak chest.
The PCD Artist Project is a collaborative effort by artist to raise awareness for PCD or primary ciliary dyskinesia and support the PCD Smiles program. Each artist who submitted art work to the project either has PCD or has a PCD friend or family member.
