Daily task 5. Hydrate according to your healthcare plan. (Consult your primary care, cardiologist, and PCD specialist for recommendations on hydration.)
The fifth daily task in the Turtle On 100 Day challenge is to hydrate according to your health care plan. Hydration is extremely important as we with PCD are mouth breathers while sleeping. That along with our non working cilia allow our mucus to pool and dry out which create thick sticky mucus that is hard to move especially first thing when waking. This is often the driving force behind nausea first thing upon waking when you have PCD. That thick, sticky mucus can make eating difficult as well due to nausea. Try hydrating to help thin out the mucus and prevent nausea upon waking. Do you have what it takes?
Join the Turtle On 100 Day Challenge and put your time management and planning skills to the test.
