What started as a vague idea to use works of art from PCD artists to raise PCD (primary ciliary dyskinesia) awareness and help fund the PCD Smiles program at the same time coupled with the help of PCD community members turned into a smashing success. As the figures started rolling in each week from the social media shares, the social media engagements, our website statistics, our donations, and our merchandise sales I grew increasingly thankful for this year’s group of artists who submitted works to the first annual PCD Artist Project. Without them the project would not have been possible. So I’d like to take this opportunity to publicly thank each and every artist who participated in 2020. With their talents I’m am happy to report that we’ve raised $2,200 and counting for the PCD Smiles program. Exhibit merchandise for the PCD Artist Project 2020 will be available for purchase through at least September 2021. We hope that you enjoy our video presentation of the 2020 exhibit.
