Today’s featured photographer is Reneé Dale with her submission titled “Claudia”.
“Primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) is a genetically heterogeneous disorder characterized by abnormally functioning cilia. The main clinical signs are recurrent or persistent respiratory infections because of the lack of effective ciliary motility causing abnormal mucociliary clearance. This condition has been described in human beings as well as in different animals and in particular within 19 breeds of dog.” ~ National Institute of Health
The PCD Artist Project is a collaborative effort by artist to raise awareness for PCD or primary ciliary dyskinesia and support the PCD Smiles program. Each artist who submitted art work to the project either has PCD or has a PCD friend or family member.
