Today’s featured artist is Reneé Dale with her submission titled “5 Minutes”.
“PCD is a genetically inherited disease that affects women and men equally. Because the cilia during embryonic development are also dysfunctional, body asymmetry can occur randomly, which may result in certain organs of the body forming on the opposite side, such as the heart being on the right instead of the left side of the thoracic cavity and organs of the abdominal cavity also being reversed in position (called situs inversus).” ~ National Jewish Health
The PCD Artist Project is a collaborative effort by artist to raise awareness for PCD or primary ciliary dyskinesia and support the PCD Smiles program. Each artist who submitted art work to the project either has PCD or has a PCD family member.
The PCD Artist Project’s 2021 exhibition merchandise ranges from apparel, giftware, home furnishings, and printed products such as posters, prints, wall art, and other items, all created from our exhibition; which can be viewed on PCD Smiles’s website.
