Sometimes we have to think outside the box to engage in our airway clearance techniques. The rhythmic motion of rowing not only helps open up your chest to allow you lungs to fully expand, but the rhythmic breathing can also help get air behind the secretions and get those secretions moving. I hear it can be a very peaceful activity that’s very productive at clearing your airways. I’m hoping to finally make it rowing this summer. How about you? Remember airway hygiene is an important part of primary ciliary dyskinesia care.
